A Cluster of food posts

Here are random food posts that I was supposed to blog a month ago but did not have time to do so.

I discovered a nice restaurant in Powerplant Mall, it was my boss who took us there during the weeks that we were so stressed out.

1. Wild Ginger

The first time I ate here, I tried their smoked bangus, although my boss recommended that we try their Manila Munch 2 for P225, a combination meal of adobo, with monggo and a glass of ice tea. They have big portioned size of chicken and the sauce is THE WINNER! But the smoked bangus was not that bad either, I think it was around P190+ something. The second time I ate here was with Lady E, where I was able to try their Manila Munch 2, it was indeed yummy. I highly recommend that you try that first.

I’ve eaten here 3 times already, my third time I tried their Nasi Goreng, it was okay too. This coming Friday, my officemates and I plan to have lunch their and order their adobo again.

Cooking my 2 order of Isaw , it’s the only “exotic” food that I can eat aside from barbeque and hotdog in the streets.

The higher boss (Vice President) of my company, treated the whole team for dinner for 2 successful events that we held last month. My friend Judy and I decided to share 2 meals, 1 salad and 1 main course.

For the salad, we split 1 order into two so that is how it looks like. I forgot the name and the price, I liked it, but the dressing not so much. It was some sort of mango dressing.

For the main course, we ordered the chicken surprise with green tea rice (split into two)

The sauce was salmon mousse something. The green tea rice tasted like pandan, but overall it was good.

   They also have free Wifi~

  4. Kenny Rogers

Their salmon was surprisingly good, for my side dishes both were potatoes (carbo loading-hehe), not really just so happens that those 2 are my favorite side dishes of all time. The lemon sauce that came with it was also good. The fish was cooked perfectly, although serving time was a bit slow for them.

Their Lumpia is a winner for me, everything tasted delicious actually. But the lumpia was exceptional! The best I’ve tasted so far, both comes with dipping sauce. Forgot the prices though.

Food review: Kenny Rogers – Holiday plate

Kenny Roger’s came out with the new Holiday plate. Looking at the picture, I was really enticed, which is why I thought of trying it out for yesterday’s dinner. I didn’t see how much it would cost, since they did not indicate any price in the billboard nor in the poster.

DSCN0469 DSCN0470   The meal consists of a waldorf salad, roasted chicken BBQ, java rice , corn muffin and BBQ sauce. I ordered ice tea and total bill was P225.

DSCN0471     Everything was cold, well not really cold but it seems like it has been sitting there for a very long time. Well, I wouldn’t blame them since I came in the restaurant almost closing time after having my hair cut at David’s Salon.

I like the java rice, nothing spectacular but it’s not that bad. The chicken has a mild taste of smokey BBQ flavor. I think the sauce that came with it is the one they marinated it with the chicken. Which was okay. Corn muffin was as usual good, tasted buttery. Now about the Waldorf salad, it was bleh~ I hate red apples, it tastes gritty and sandy. The lettuce didn’t look fresh either since there brown ends of the vegetables, mostly all of them. I would be very disappointed if they served me that kind of quality during the day, so for now I will let it pass. Well, not like I am going to order this again.

It’s worth trying out, but not something I would look forward to eating it again.

My verdict: 2.9/5 spoons

I’d definitely eat there again, just not this one.

Till then!

Food review: Kenny roger’s roasted chicken salad

Hey there readers! Happy Wednesday! What are you all having for dinner or rather what did you have for dinner? Here’s mine.

The chicken part they use was not something I’d usually get, but this was really moist, I loved it! My chicken was served fresh and hot which was good. I tried the Italian dressing for a change, I was expecting some kind of vinaigrette but it was like thousand island dressing of some sort. If I knew it would be like that, I should’ve sticked with the ceasar dressing. Well, at least now I know.

I was hungry, but didn’t want to eat carbs for tonight, that’s why I opted for the salad instead. And to wash it down I had a caramel coffee based frappuccino, yeah talk about not eating carbs but drinking calories huh? hahaha. Tall lang naman eh! LOL!

My favorite part about frappuccino is this
